Drag Racing Videos: VW Paradise sets new dragster record!
From the Barona, CA drag strip website: “CONGRATULATIONS to KRIS LAUFFER for BREAKING the TRACK RECORD (again) in the VW Paradise sponsored 05 Spritzer VW!! MPH: 157.35 ET: 4.366
at the Antique Drags May 4, 2008.” VW Paradise already had the mph record at the track, and now it looks like they have the low e.t. record as well! The 4.366 e.t. number would have also been a new HotVWs eighth-mile record, if it had been backed up within one percent. What you will see in this drag racing video is the team making some passes after the 4.366 number, one of which included an insane half-track burnout by Kris Lauffer. Unfortunately there was no footage of the 4.366 pass itself, because the videographer was taking still photos instead of shooting video. You fans of VW Paradise can rest assured that Kris and his crew will return with more nitrous and more turbocharged boost, as they continue their record-setting ways!
