Honda vs. VW Bug vs. RX-7 rotary, here is the first and second rounds of qualifying in the IDRC All-Motor Pro class of drag racing. It’s old-skool vs. new blood, with Bisi Ezerioha in his Honda Insight as the pick to win the class at this race. He is opposed by, among others, Larry Kelley, who started racing Volkswagens back in the 1960’s.
This is the first round of qualifying for the IDRC Quick-8 sport compact drag racing class. Early favorites to win included Eric Del Rosario in his Honda Integra, who was coming off of a win at the NHRA Sport Compact race a couple of weeks earlier. Most of his competition was driving Honda-powered turbo cars, but there was a General Motors Ecotec in the mix, and even an old-skool Toyota that was very clean.
