Top fuel nostalgia funny cars are based on the original Ford, Chevy, or Mopar body designs from back in the day. In these video clips you will see race cars from The Nostalgia Funny Car Association, which was formed in January of 2006. The NFCA works with promotors, tracks, racing associations and sponsors to help present and promote funny car events in the Western U.S. The body designs of the NFCA are done in the spirit of the original nitro funny cars, as raced from 1965 through 1979. These floppers run 671 blowers with an 18% maximum overdrive, using a 20 gpm fuel pump(+ or -1 gpm). They are restricted to one points-based magneto, a two-speed transmission, and a rear end with nothing lower than 3.90 gears.

Some of the NFCA cars are built as replicas of original funny cars. One such example is the Pacemaker/Bubble Up flopper, that was driven by Gordie Bonin. Terry Capp brought it to the Nostalgia Nitro Shootout at Fontana, where he made the pass that you see in this drag racing video clip.
